Raging to heal

The weather is raging,

Her heart needs to heal.

The people must stop

Just so they can feel.

Fires, tornadoes,

Then sun in a blink.

Downpours and blizzards,

Then a moonrise so pink.

A virus washing over,

The unending high tide.

Nowhere to run,

Stay safer inside.

Too many can’t or won’t,

Too many will fall.

Too many, not enough,

Its reach touching all.

Life altered, lives changed,

Yet some things the same.

This lesson to learn —

End better than how we came?

The weather is raging,

Her heart needs to heal.

Our home, Mother Earth,

Making sure this we feel.
